When everyone in the palace was asleep, Siddhattha asked Channa to prepare his horse. In the meantime he went into the room where Yasodhara and their newborn boy Rahula slept. He was filled with loving-kindness towards them and promised to himself to come back to see them after he found the ultimate truth about the origin of suffering and the way out of it.
